In October of 1933, Grand Rapids educator Lloyd F. Hutt opened his home as the first branch office of the Grand Rapids Teachers Credit Union. Eighty years later, Hutt would scarcely recognize the expansion of his home-grown company. Lake Michigan Credit Union, as it is now known, has become the largest locally owned financial institution headquartered in West Michigan.
Next month, we’ll be celebrating Hutt’s vision and dedication. And we’ll be reveling in how you, and over 267,000 of your fellow members, have made all of this possible. Watch for coming announcements about events, celebrations and how you can enter to win $500!
