High School Seniors: What Would You do with $2,000 Towards Your Education?

High school seniors, you have until January 31, 2012 to submit your essay for the 2012 Lloyd F. Hutt Scholarship Competition. LMCU will give away eight scholarships for $2,000 each to local seniors who are continuing their education at any accredited trade school, college or university.

The essay topic this year is “If you could accomplish one goal that would define you, what would it be?” Essays must be between 700 and 1,500 words so that it fully explains the meaning of the chosen topic. The winners will be announced in our May 2012 newsletter.

Details about the scholarship and an application are now available at any branch location, your school’s guidance office or online at LMCU.org/Hutt. If you have any questions regarding the scholarship, please contact Vickie Smith at (616) 242-9788 or email her at vickie.smith@lmcu.org. Apply today!
